Susan Murphy Milano Instructing at National Conference

National missing persons organization invites Susan Murphy Milano to participate in educating attendees on the connection between intimate partner violence and missing persons.

WILMINGTON, NC, March 21, 2011 (Press-News.org) March 24-27, CUE Center for Missing Persons holds its 7th annual National Conference in Wilmington, NC, titled, "Hope Lights the Way." Eachyear the Board of Directors, and Founder of CUE Center, Monica Caison, welcome speakers, presenters, and instructors which lend their expertise to educating the attendees, mostly family members of missing persons, but including all who work in the arena from advocating, volunteerism, investigation, search and rescue and identification process of those who are lost. This event is open to all who support the mission of finding a resolution for families who have suffered a missing loved one.

Susan Murphy Milano, nationally known violence prevention expert and non-fiction author, is honored to be chosen as one of the Instructors for the Conference. She will be conducting rounds of classes, "Intimate Partner Violence: My Loved One is Missing," educating attendees on the connection between intimate partner violence and missing persons, as well as prevention and safety measures for those who may be involved in a violent family relationship.

In addition to her class instruction, Murphy Milano was chosen to be the Guest Speaker at the Saturday night Candlelight Vigil held at Riverfront Park in Wilmington at 7:30 pm. The public is invited to participate in this moving ceremony which pays homage to all missing persons, and special recognition to the memory of recovered missing persons, Joshua Hancock and Megan Maxwell. Susan will address the audience during the gathering, speaking about "Moving Forward." The public will be asked to join in prayer as a wall of pictures of missing persons is unveiled.

Susan Murphy Milano recently participated in the A&E Biography of Drew Peterson, offering commentary about the stormy marriages of former police Sgt. Drew Peterson and his wives, murdered Kathleen Savio, and missing Stacy Peterson, a case registered with CUE Center. Murphy Milano is the host of the weekly radio show, "The Susan Murphy Milano Show, Time's Up" on the Here Women Talk Network, broadcast by Zeus Radio. She is a member of the Crime Wire Investigative Bureau, and co-hosts the weekly radio broadcast of "Crime Wire," and co-hosts a weekly Wednesday night crime segment on nationally syndicated "The Roth Show" with Dr. Laurie Roth.
