FOLSOM, CA, April 07, 2011 (Press-News.org) Weekly Menu Club, a new service to help families save time and money, and to eat better, launched this week. The club, launched by Chef Rochelle Barcellona, can be found at http://www.WeeklyMenuClub.com/.
"This service was born out of necessity," says Barcellona. "I wanted my family to eat more varied, healthier, tastier meals. I found that I was spending hours a week search through recipe books and making a shopping list, so I decided to create a better way."
Weekly Menu Club is a subscription-based service. For $19.95 per month - less than one dinner out for an individual - every Friday morning, members will receive their upcoming Monday through Friday dinners' menus, recipes and a shopping list. It is the perfect service for those who like to cook, but either don't have the time or don't want to spend all of the time planning the meals. "I'm a single working mom, so the Weekly Menu Club is exactly what I needed," says Tracy Bryan, Weekly Menu Club customer. "Just ask my 16-year-old son, who knows I am NO cook. We both love the Weekly Menu Club because the recipes are easy (with very little prep time), healthy and tasty. We had both gotten very sick of my usuals (slim pickin's) and it's been so fun to bond over great meals!"
According to Barcellona, the club has different meal plans from which to choose. "The first plan we have available is Quick Family Meals. These are meals that can be prepared in about 30 minutes or less." Other menu plans coming online soon include Light & Tasty, Vegetarian and Couples.
Barcellona is also executive chef of Barcellona Bites, a personal chef and catering company. Barcellona may be reached at chef@weeklymenuclub.com or 916-353-5200.
