Marx Layne to Showcase Real-Time Application of Twitter During "Ties Like Me" Networking Event, April 20

A "Twitter Wall" expands upon the fast paced nature of Twitter by projecting live tweets from event participants onto a screen. Using specially created hashtags, users can update the "Twitter Wall" in real-time as they mix and mingle during the event, which would allow everyone to see their contributions while demonstrating the importance of social media as a public relations tool. The hashtags for the event include: #TiesLikeMe, #LGBTNetwork, and #DetroitLGBT.
