MANILA, PHILIPPINES, April 10, 2011 (Press-News.org) Temperatures rose as Manila's newest and most exclusive luxe lounge, Fever, opened in full cabaret-meets-burlesque fashion at Sofitel Philippine Plaza. An audiovisual feast greeted guests upon arrival, with a blazing red motif, sexy French club tunes and seductive Bohemian imagery and sound. Pole dancers, air dancers and coyote dancers kicked off the party's provocative repertoire, as host Sanya Smith and DJ Funk Avy took the evening's program to a steamy crescendo - much to the delight of the three hundred something nightlife connoisseurs, celebrities and media personalities present.

Behind Fever Luxe Lounge are long-time kingpins of the Manila night life scene: media and party innovator Tim Yap, marketing maverick and event mogul Stephen Ku, PR genius GP Reyes and Channel V head JM Rodriguez. Fever Luxe Lounge is smoldering with its Rococo-style interiors, a modern re-interpretation of the iconic Moulin Rouge. Cloaked, private boudoirs, dramatic chandeliers, crystal beads, and touches of Baroque-style decor adorn the lounge's elegant red and black spaces.

Featuring some of the country's top DJs, house music pervades Fever, with a delicious blend of R&B, retro, funk, soul and disco showcased throughout the week. Mondays showcase house lounge, while Tuesdays feature sexy R&B mash-ups by Mike Bolante. Karl Ty takes to the decks on Wednesday evenings with a retro dance groove, while Edz Ferrer takes house to the next level, Thursdays. JC Sandejas brings commercial house to Friday evening revelers, while Mitch Malli showcases fun mash-up pop on Saturdays. The world-renowned Funktion One sound technology allows for the most decadent listening experience, while conversations may flow free with ease.

Supper is served at Fever between 6:30pm-10:30pm, as the much sought-after Chef Jose Luis Gonzalez of Guggenheim Museum Bilbao fame introduces smart dining. Showcasing a French menu replete with highly innovative and mouthwatering dishes not common in French restaurants such as Oysters with Champagne and Lemon Crushed Ice, Tenderloin with Fungus and Truffle and Foie with Orange and Crispy Carrot Spaguetto, Chef Jose Luis applies complex techniques and culinary discipline to ensure that each dish is a most memorable experience. He meticulously extracts the purest flavors from every ingredient and thoughtfully crafts every creation with his guests' health and wellness in mind.

Degustation menus are available at Fever, with food and wine pairings that mingle exquisitely together. Guests may choose from three, four or five courses, as they tailor-make their own menus from a delectable range of starters, main courses and desserts. Fever likewise boasts of a wide and prolific selection of wines and spirits from around the world, with some of Manila's top mixologists whipping up a wealth of both classic and trendy cocktail concoctions that will surely whet many a cocktail lover's appetite.

Happy hour at Fever is from 6 to 10pm daily, with a buy one take one promotion on Martinis, and from 11pm to12am, guests may buy one bottle of Piper Heidsieck and get one bottle free.
