PHILADELPHIA, PA, April 16, 2011 (Press-News.org) Renew Design Group, Inc. (www.renewdesigngroup.com) has partnered with Adamson, Riva & Lepley Architects to provide comprehensive site development engineering and landscape architecture for the expansion of the Cranaleith Spiritual Center in Northeast Philadelphia.
The groundbreaking ceremony of the new 8,000 square foot conference center will take place on April, 15 2011 at 3:30pm at the Cranaleith Spiritual Center 13475 Proctor Road Philadelphia, PA 19116. State Senator Mike Stack, former State Representative George Kenney, Cranaleith Spiritual Center's staff, Board, partners, donors, neighbors and extended family will be in attendance.
"We're really excited to work with architects Adamson, Riva and Lepley and the Cranaleith Spiritual Center on the expansion of their ministry to the residents of Philadelphia," said Ken Bissinger, Managing Partner at Renew. "Cranaleith has a long history of success in Philadelphia and provides an important service to those in need. We are thrilled to be a part of providing that great service."
Buoyed by a $1-million Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program grant from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and more than $800,000 in early contributions, Cranaleith has now embarked on the first phase of an expansion project to construct a Conference Center that will accommodate groups up to 60 for meetings and meals and to rebuild the existing barn for use as a Welcome Center. The estimated cost of the first phase is $4.5 million, and we are seeking to raise a minimum of $1.5 million through a Capital Campaign. As additional revenue is raised, the plan is to erect a Chapel and build a Lodge with overnight capacity for 12 - bringing our total overnight capacity to 25.
