LONDON, ENGLAND, April 20, 2011 (Press-News.org) A host of contemporary musicians are set to play tribute to Dusty Springfield at the Royal Albert Hall next month.

The famous London venue will celebrate the life and work of the legendary singer with a special concert entitled For Dusty ... A Tribute on Thursday May 5th.

Artists due to take part in the event include Boy George, Rick Astley, Mica Paris, Shelby Lynne and Carol Decker.

Each performer will be backed by the Matthew Jones Orchestra and Choir, with host Paul Gambaccini on hand to introduce the acts.

Born in London, Springfield was an icon of the 1960s music scene and many of her hits remain highly popular radio staples to this day.

The vocalist had 18 singles in the Billboard Hot 100 between 1964 and 1970, including classic tracks such as You Don't Have to Say You Love Me, I Just Don't Know What to Do with Myself and Son of a Preacher Man.

Tickets for the Royal Albert Hall event are available to buy online, priced between GBP39.50 and GBP65 plus booking fee.
