Internationally-Recognized Occupational Health and Nursing Leader Joins Axion Health Advisory Board

Dr. Rogers will provide consultative input and feedback for Axion Health and will be instrumental in guiding and refining best-practices and clinical algorithms for the Company's ReadySet Employee Health and Occupational Health Electronic Health Record Management software and services.

Bonnie Rogers, DrPH, COHN-S, LNCC, FAAN brings more than 30 years of experience in occupational health nursing to the Axion Health team. Dr. Rogers is a nationally and internationally recognized expert in occupational health, worker health promotion, and occupational health nursing. Dr. Rogers is associate professor and Director of the NIOSH-supported North Carolina Occupational Safety and Health Education and Research Center, and the Director of the Occupational Health Nursing Program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, School Of Public Health. Dr. Rogers directs one of the nation's top occupational health nursing programs. She is Vice President of the International Commission on Occupational Health, a Board member of the Association of Occupational and Environmental Clinics, and chair of the NIOSH Board of Scientific Counselors. She is former President of the American Association of Occupational Health Nursing (AAOHN) and Association of Occupational and Environmental Clinics.

Dr. Rogers received her Doctor of Public Health degree (DrPH) in Environmental Health Sciences/Occupational Health Nursing, as well as her Masters of Public Health (MPH) with concentration in Public Health Administration and Epidemiology from Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health. She has a Bachelor of Science - Nursing (BSN), from George Mason University, a Nursing Diploma from Washington Hospital Center School of Nursing and has certification as an Adult Nurse Practitioner and an Occupational Health Nurse-Specialist. She also is a certified legal nurse consultant, as a case manager, and is Myers Briggs certified. Dr. Rogers is a Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing and the American Association of Occupational Health nurses, and is Editor of the Journal of Legal Nurse Consulting. Dr. Rogers has practiced as a public health nurse and an occupational health nurse clinician for employee health services as a practitioner, and is an educator and researcher in occupational health. Dr. Rogers has conducted numerous occupational health research studies and published more than 175 articles, two textbooks in occupational health nursing, among many other scholarly achievements, and has delivered more than 450 presentations to national and international audiences. She has designed and delivered many graduate level and continuing education courses, served on numerous national and international committees and task forces, and has held offices for local, state and national occupational health and safety organizations.
