AUSTIN, TX, April 21, 2011 (Press-News.org) According to Lightspeed Research it only takes one negative review to scare away potential customers. This means that if there is a negative review posted about a company and the company is not aware of it, it could cost them potential sales.
The majority of consumers these days will perform a search online before purchasing from a new business. This is where reviews are read the most. If consumers see that others were unhappy with the service then they usually will search for another business to purchase from.
One good example is Cheddars Cafe in Pflugerville, Texas. If you run a search on Google for "Cheddars in Pflugerville" you will see the City Search profile at the top of the results (url below). The top review is from an unsatisfied customer and the company has not attempted to respond to the customers complaint. This review has been posted for almost a year. There's no telling how many consumers read this review and decided not to visit this Cheddars.
