LateRooms.com - Check Out The Impressionists in Milan

A collection of world-famous Impressionist masterpieces is currently on show in Milan.

2011-04-21
MILAN, ITALY, April 21, 2011 (Press-News.org) Milan's Palazzo Reale is hosting the first stop on the worldwide Impressionists tour, featuring the biggest names of the art movement.

Visitors can see 21 pieces by Pierre Auguste Renoir, Claude Monet and Edgar Degas among others until June 19th 2011.

It is unprecedented for so many Impressionist paintings to be shown off in Italy, which suggests there will be plenty of interest in seeing the masterpieces.

All of the work on show comes from the Sterling and Francine Clark Collection in the US, with the installation also due for display in France and Spain in the coming year.

Other international institutions are scheduled to host the exhibition after that.

Admission is priced at EUR9 (GBP7.95), with the Palazzo Reale opening from 09:30 to 19:30 local time daily, except for Monday when doors open at 14:30. The exhibition does not close until 22:30 on Thursday and Saturday.

The closest Metro stop to the palace is Duomo.
