SunPods Names Brian C. Boguess as Director of Sales, Channel Partners & Business Development

Experienced sales and business development professional joins to accelerate channel partner program and national expansion.

SAN JOSE, CA, April 21, 2011 (Press-News.org) SunPods Inc., a manufacturer of the first complete, factory-built solar array, announced today that Brian C. Boguess has joined the company as Director of Sales - Channel Partners and Business Development. Brian will report to Managing Partner and Co-Founder, Michael Gumm to oversee the development of multiple sales channels within the SunPods Partner Program. He brings over 15 years of focused sales, business development, and entrepreneurial experience to the SunPods' management team.

"Brian Boguess has a successful track record in exceeding revenue goals and building successful channel partner programs," said Gumm. "Leveraging his green technology experience combined with his finance and contracting background, Brian will be a key driver for SunPods national expansion and accelerated revenue growth."

Prior to SunPods, Brian contributed to building SunPower's first retail direct sales channel where he contributed to the pilot and formal program launch in 2010. He currently holds a CGBP (Certified Green Building Professional) credential with an expected BPI Building Analyst (Building Performance Institute) certification in 2011. As a Senior Sales Consultant, he created effective channel partnerships that resulted in decreased customer acquisition costs and increased sales conversions. His work experience also includes directing the business development and energy efficiency segments at NextEnergy Corporation as well as managing and owning several financing and real estate ventures.
