Women Find Tea-Drinking Dudes 'Sexy Breath' of Fresh Air in a Coffee-Drinking World.

On line dating companies have no trouble matching likes, dislikes, values and vices. But for that fateful first date, after weeks of virtual courtship, what computers fail to predict is the other person's breath.

HOLLYWOOD, CA, April 24, 2011 (Press-News.org) On line dating companies have no trouble matching likes, dislikes, values and vices. But for that fateful first date, after weeks of virtual courtship, what computers fail to predict is the other person's breath.

According to actress Tyra Colar, who has appeared on ABC's hit "Cougar Town" with Courtney Cox, many women find male tea drinkers to be a sexy breath of fresh air when compared to their "can I buy you a drink" coffee-drinking counterparts.

"Nothing shortens a first date faster than a guy with halitosis," said Colar, who grew up in a tea-drinking family in San Jose, California, and studied acting in New York. "But I never really shared my admiration for male tea drinkers until I started my own imported tea website, utopiatea.com. It was like the floodgates opened, and I started hearing from all these women singing the praises about tea drinking dudes - and not only for their good breath."

While tea is a proven cure for halitosis, the former Ms. California says many women also find men who enjoy tea to be more self-assured and confident about their masculinity - "and we all know that confidence is a very sexy trait in a guy."

Colar, who has also appeared in major feature films, founded utopiatea.com after having difficulty finding the exotic teas she loved at one, easy-to-order on line destination.

"I think tea brings people together," she said. "I've had wonderful conversations over tea with family, friends and other actors on TV and movie sets. I find having a couple of cups of aromatic tea before an important audition especially calming."

While surprised by how many women find tea-drinking men a "turn on", she says her mission is to provide the widest variety of top quality loose teas on the market today. "For example, my Chocolate Mint Rooibos is very popular at utopiatea.com, because it contains tiny chucks of chocolate - so you can get your chocolate fix without the guilt."

Finally, the actress and fine tea purveyor believes once guys catch on that women prefer tea drinkers over having to endure coffee or beer breath, "I'll have tons of men visiting my website," she laughed.
