In an interview with Business Review Australia, CEO Mario Panuccio discusses the growth of the company and expansion into new markets.According to Panuccio, reclaiming concrete is the wave of the future. "That's the way we see the industry needing to move," he says. "The industry's been resistant to it because the products available on the market have been second class and have failed to deliver."
The company's Carole Park plant is the first in Brisbane to separate waste and return the materials ready for reuse to the stockpile. "We were the first to try," he says. "We've been analysing and watching now for several years and we'll go for the next one in about 18 months."
The Neilsen Group began to move in a greener direction several years ago. "The chairman himself was very interested in the reclaimer 6 years ago when he was managing director," says Panuccio. Additionally, Panuccio holds patents in the United States and Australia for a reclaimer. "As a company now, everything from the board to the CEO to the guys at the plant are all focused on getting a reclaimer that really works in the market place," he says.
