WASHINGTON, DC, April 30, 2011 (Press-News.org) Dr. Patricia Webbink announces the release of her recently published book on relationships entitled The Intimacy Dance of Stingers and Clingers.
In this powerful self-help book, Dr. Webbink demonstrates that all of us choose certain types of people for our relationships and have our own "intimacy pattern" - behaviors, thoughts, and emotions that emerge when we enter a close relationship, patterns that make or break many intimate partnerships.
Called a "master therapist" by best-selling author John Bradshaw, Dr. Patricia Webbink has been in private practice for 40 years. She is committed to helping people develop fulfilling relationships in their personal and professional lives.
In 1986, she published her first book, The Power of the Eyes, with Springer Publishing Company. A comprehensive, scholarly treatise on visual communication, it was adopted as a monthly selection by the Behavioral Science Book Club. The Intimacy Dance of Stingers and Clingers brings fresh perspective into the canon of relationship self-help.
Dr. Webbink has appeared on national and local TV shows, among them The Oprah Winfrey Show, The Today Show, The Nightly News with Steve Gendell, and Good Morning America. She has held workshops and seminars throughout the US and across the globe. Dr. Webbink is currently the Director of Adult, Adolescent and Child Counseling Associates and practices as a psychologist in Bethesda, Maryland.
