Oprah's May 10 Show Features Weight Loss Camp Drama Instructor and 11-time Guest

Airing on May 10, 2011, one of Oprah's final shows will feature her longest-running weight loss guest, Stacey Halprin. Halprin is an 11-time guest on Oprah and first appeared on Winfrey's stage 25 years ago.

DURHAM, NC, May 04, 2011 (Press-News.org) The special episode features 100 people who have lost over 100 pounds. A former 550-lb woman, Halprin lost over 300 pounds and her repeat appearances on Oprah have chronicled or weight loss journey, her film appearances (she starred in Shirley Maclaine's Dress Code), her book Winning After Losing and her experiences helping teens maintain a healthy lifestyle at Camp Shining Stars. Halprin is the drama instructor at Camp Shining Stars, a non-profit weight loss camp for teens in North Carolina. Halprin will also be featured in an upcoming issue of O Magazine as one of Oprah's favorite guests of all-time.

Halprin donated her summer last year to Camp Shining Stars where she taught drama, charm, poise and water aerobics. Halprin returns to camp this summer to volunteer her time again. Camp Shining Stars is hosted annually on the Barton College Campus in Wilson, NC, offering teen campers the luxury of residing with 2 campers per air-conditioned dorm room. Camp Shining Stars registration is still open for the Summer 2011 and is limited to 100 campers. They maintain exclusive enrollment in order to preserve their acclaimed 3-to-1 campers-to-staff ratio.
