Rocker Jimi Jamison to Sing Eye of the Tiger as Manny Pacquiao takes the Ring in Vegas Saturday on International TV

Jamison's version of Eye of the Tiger on the Vital Signs album is revered by many in the sports world as a National Anthem of sorts. Undisputed Welterweight Champion Tony TKO DeMarco states "in my whole career nothing brought me back to being in the ring in 1955 that moment, the feeling, the natural high as being on stage with Jimi Jamison in the Boston area last fall having him sing Eye of the Tiger to myself and Micky Ward," "what a feeling and an honor, brought me right back to a moment you want to continue to feel your whole life." DeMarco looking forward to Jamison returning to the area in July goes on to say "if I were in a place returning to the ring having Jamison singing Eye of the Tiger, would solidify my strength and the confidence of a Champion without a doubt."

Jamison is overwhelmed wanting to help motivate Manny in any way he can. Jimi states, "Being a huge Boxing and Manny fan, this is one of the many exciting things in my career or life. I am so grateful to have met some of the best athletes and people in general worldwide. This is by far, one of the many highlights of my life. Singing Eye of the Tiger, with one my hero's heading into the ring to defend his title in Las Vegas in front of the whole world, is just amazing!"

Jimi Jamison has been an inspiration to many through his music worldwide. Often organizations, as well as people in general, use his music to inspire in many ways. In the Autism world, Jamison's Baywatch Theme is known to pop up often from time to time, as parents of children with different abilities are inspired by the words, and the strong passionate vocals. Kristin S, a parent of a 7 year old boy living with Autism, states "I often turn to this song at times to get me through the most difficult barriers in my day, in our lives, at times singing the chorus to my son," speaking of the Baywatch Theme in which Jamison co - wrote and performs.

Manny Pacquiao, born December 17, 1978, is a Filipino professional boxer and politician. He is an eight-division world champion, the first boxer in history to win ten world titles, the first to win in eight weight divisions, and the first to win the lineal championship in four different weight classes. He was named "Fighter of the Decade" for the 2000's by the Boxing Writers Association of America (BWAA). He is also a three-time The Ring and BWAA "Fighter of the Year", winning the award in 2006, 2008, and 2009. Currently, Pacquiao is the WBC Super Welterweight World Champion and WBO Welterweight World Champion (Super Champion). He is also currently rated as the "number one" pound-for-pound best boxer in the world by most sporting news and boxing web sites, including The Ring, Sports Illustrated, ESPN, NBC Sports, Yahoo! Sports, Sporting Life and About.com. Aside from boxing, Pacquiao has participated in acting, music recording, and politics. In May 2010, Pacquiao was elected to the House of Representatives in the 15th Congress of the Philippines, representing the province of Sarangani.
