BAINBRIDGE, PA, May 04, 2011 (Press-News.org) Hair Direct, an online hair replacement company congratulates its employees, family members and friends for raising $4,362 for this year's "Walk MS 2011 presented by Giant Food Stores, LLC" in Lancaster, PA. In addition, Hair Direct also entered the largest walking team for the event, which is part of a regional and national effort to create a world free of multiple sclerosis.
With $3,925 in direct donations and an additional $437 raised through an independent bake sale, "Team Hair Direct" was the largest corporate fundraiser, according to the Lancaster County chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society's website.
Out of 85 total teams and 796 registered walkers, the company's team had the largest walking group with 53 members.
The event was held on Sunday, April 10, 2011, at Clipper Magazine Stadium in Lancaster, PA. The preliminary amount raised by the entire event is $49,046.05.
Walk MS 2011 events are taking place throughout Central PA on various Saturdays in April and May in support of the more than 6,100 living with multiple sclerosis in Central PA. For more information about Walk MS events, please visit the organization's website at walkpac.nationalmssociety.org.
