Popularity of Breast Augmentation in Sacramento Rises
2011-05-05
FOLSOM, CA, May 05, 2011 (Press-News.org) Over the past few months, the doctors at Kaufman & Clark Plastic Surgery (http://www.breastsmadebeautiful.com/) have seen increased interest in breast augmentation in Sacramento at their plastic surgery practice when compared to the same time last year. They link the increase to the positive word of mouth the practice enjoys, along with an improving economy and more breast implant options than ever before.

"The rise in breast enhancement we're seeing at our practice correlates to the statistics recently published by the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS)," notes Dr. David Kaufman, who together with Dr. Christa Clark at the practice offers a full range of plastic surgery procedures in Sacramento. "Those stats showed an increase nationwide in breast augmentation procedures from 2009 to 2010, and it appears that the trend is continuing this year as well."

In 2010, the top five most popular surgical procedures were breast augmentation, liposuction, eyelid surgery, tummy tuck, and breast reduction, according to the ASAPS survey. "Women consulting with us about breast implants at our Sacramento office are saying that they've been thinking about surgery for some time, but had been putting it off until they felt a little more confident about the economy," explains Dr. Clark.

Studies confirm the theory that an improving economy results in an increase in cosmetic surgery procedures. In 2009, Cleveland Clinic researchers discovered a direct correlation between plastic surgery procedures and trends in the S&P 500, Dow Jones and NASDAQ indexing.

"Breast augmentation consistently ranks as a top cosmetic procedure nationwide," adds Dr. Kaufman. In 2010, American women spent almost $1.2 billion on breast augmentation, more than any other procedure. "We take pride in the fact that our practice reflects this trend, because it indicates that women trust us to achieve beautiful, natural results for their transformation."

In addition to breast augmentation, Kaufman & Clark Plastic Surgery specializes in other breast enhancement procedures, such as breast reductions and breast lifts. "One of our specializations is fulfilling the cosmetic goals of patients who have unique needs, such as women who have nipple inversion, minimal breast tissue, asymmetric breasts, or other concerns," says Dr. Clark.

Dr. David Kaufman and Dr. Christa Clark (http://www.breastsmadebeautiful.com) are board-certified plastic surgeons focusing on breast augmentation in Sacramento, as well as post-bariatric body contouring and other advanced plastic surgery procedures. Dr. Kaufman served as a US Navy SEAL before earning his medical doctorate from Harvard Medical School, while Dr. Christa Clark earned her medical doctorate from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit. Both Dr. Kaufman and Dr. Clark trained extensively through general and plastic surgery residencies at Stanford University.
