Healing Practitioners Build Big Business with Postcards

Chiropractor and Physical Therapist increase their number of patients using direct mail postcards created by PostcardMania.

CLEARWATER, FL, May 08, 2011 (Press-News.org) Those in the healing business are finding out direct mail postcards hold the power to deliver new patients. While physical therapist Allen Ling and chiropractor Rick Argall don't know each other and live on opposite sides of the country, they share a common success with a misunderstood marketing strategy.

Argall, a partner at Family Life Health Center in Clearwater, FL admits why he turned to direct mail. "Newspaper advertising and TV advertising, for my profession, really didn't seem to be anything that worked adequately," he says. For his practice, he wanted something that was direct and consistent — something more personal.

Both Ling and Argall are clients of Clearwater marketing company PostcardMania, which offers full-service programs for direct mail, email and web development.

"We just recently started targeting another area in a 10-mile radius around one of our satellite practices," says Ling. "Within the first week that we sent out the postcards we had about 20 new patients coming in."

Argall reports that his patient numbers dip when he stops the campaign for any reason, and insists the mailings are one of the main propellants behind his practice's growth. Allen Ling attributes his success and expansion to satellite practices to the response to his campaigns.
