Late Nite Books Gearing up to Release The Dying Times: Nadene's Story, a Book of Survival Horror, in November, 2010

It has been a long time in the making, but The Dying Times will be among us on November 22nd, 2010. When the United States faces off against a Zairian warlord, no one could have predicted the outcome: apocalypse at the hands of the living dead.

2010-09-14
BRANDON, MS, September 14, 2010 (Press-News.org) The Dying Times tracks the experiences of one Nadene Schafer, a 13-year-old girl with a strange and special talent, on her journey with other survivors who are trying to escape the zombie infested areas and survive on a day to day basis. They soon find out that this is no easy task, and that survival itself is fleeting.

The book begins in small town America and tells the story of the main character, Nadene, along with her mother, a homeless man, a police officer, and a dispatcher, as well as the revolving stories of Nadene's best friend Sally and her family during a time of unheard of upheaval and chaos in the United States.

Reviews of and quotes about the book are as follows:

"This book is a genuine masterpiece of this type of genre. Actually, it could fit into a number of different categories and styles of writing. I read a couple of chapters and then put the book down. I kept thinking about the story and decided to just read a little more. Well, I wound up reading the whole book. I found out that once you start reading this book you cannot stop.

It starts in the year 2013 where we find the eastern portion of the United States is being attacked. Missiles carrying biological agents are falling and killing thousands of people. But then a strange thing happens. Some of the dead come back to life and begin to attack and kill people who were not effected by the bombs.

I found this story to be interesting, and it may hold a whisper of what may happen if some things do not change in our world. Everyone will have their own perceptions of the story and characters. I firmly believe that this book will be enjoyed by all who read it.

I loved the way the characters were developed and how they teamed up to go west away from the horrific things that were happening to save their own lives.

This book was so good I found it hard to believe it was from a first time author. Do yourself a favor and buy the book. You won't be disappointed." - Sandra Heptinstall, Whispering Winds Book Review & Midwest Book Review

"Unlike Stephen King or even Jack London, "Dying Times" was easier to follow, and yet at the same time, just as interesting. An excellent read. If this book was a movie, I would be the first one in line to buy my ticket." - Nickie Hopkins, Reviewer

"He does have a talent for storytelling." - Jennifer DeNaughel - Lighthouse Dreams

The book is slated for release on November 22nd, 2010, and it (and others in the series) can be found at the publisher's website, http://www.latenitebooks.com.
