Oclaro, a tier-1 provider of optical components, deploys StepStone Solutions Talent Acquisition across APAC, US and Europe operations

StepStone Solutions, a leading provider of total talent management solutions, has announced that optical components giant Oclaro has successfully implemented its talent acquisition (e-recruitment solution) across its APAC, US and Europe operations, aiming to attract scarce professionals with high-end speciality skills. The installation was deployed in China, where Oclaro has the largest demand for engineering, R&D, and manufacturing staff. After evaluating StepStone Solutions against three other international providers, Oclaro decided that StepStone Solutions offered the strongest local and international support added to proven multiple language capability. Among the major benefits Oclaro gains from the solution are the ability to streamline its recruitment process; to build and share an international talent pool; and to create access to comprehensive reporting on recruitment pipeline and demands. The solution also centralises CVs collected from different sources such as local online job-boards and search agencies, and ultimately will build up a shared talent pool which all Oclaro HR managers can access globally. As an example of the real operational benefits Oclaro is seeing, the vacancy approval process is now substantially shortened since stakeholders at all levels are allowed to approve vacancies simultaneously via self-service access.
"The vacancy approval process is now reduced from 3 weeks to 1 week with the help of the shared StepStone Solution platform," comments Doris Wang, HR Manager of Oclaro in Shanghai.
