MUNICH, GERMANY, May 10, 2011 (Press-News.org) Heavy metal legend Ozzy Osbourne is heading to Munich for a show at the Olympiahalle next month.
The former Black Sabbath vocalist and reality TV star is set to perform in the Bavarian capital on Wednesday June 15th.
Osbourne's Munich concert will follow an extremely busy period for the 62-year-old rocker, with a new documentary about his life making its debut at the recent Tribeca Film Festival in New York.
Co-produced by his son Jack, the film is called God Bless Ozzy Osbourne and traces the singer's rise from a working class area of Birmingham to international rock stardom.
It also takes a candid look at incidents in the past, when Osbourne's notoriously decadent lifestyle threatened to permanently derail his career before the revival instigated by his second wife, Sharon.
In recognition of his achievements, Osbourne will be formally declared a Kerrang! Legend at this summer's Kerrang! Awards in London.
In addition, two of the musician's classic solo albums from the early 1980s, Blizzard of Ozz and Diary of a Madman, are due to be reissued in expanded editions on May 30th.
The LPs will be re-released with bonus tracks and live recordings in celebration of Osbourne's 30th year as a solo performer.
Fans will no doubt be hoping to hear songs from those albums, as well as Black Sabbath classics and more recent material, when the artist performs at the Olympiahalle.
Tickets for the show are available to purchase online, priced at EUR54.80 (GBP48.50) plus booking fee.
Concert-goers planning a stay in Munich hotels can browse a wide range of accommodation at LateRooms.com, including the Hotel Leonardo Munich.
