Bryant & Stratton College Online Announces Free, Online Webinar for IT Professionals

Registrations are being accepted now for the May 25th webinar: IT Industry Trends: More than Just Technology

BUFFALO, NY, May 11, 2011 (Press-News.org) Bryant & Stratton College Online announced today that it is hosting a free, online tune-up clinic to help information technology professionals remain current. The online clinic is for IT professionals and Bryant & Stratton College students and graduates, as well as prospective students considering a career in information technology. The clinic will be held on Wednesday, May 25th at noon EST and will last for about one hour. The webinar, IT Industry Trends: More Than Just Technology, will touch upon four areas of focus: IT as a business partner and not a cost center, IT practitioner personal development, mobile technology trends and necessary skills and virtualization and cloud computing.

"The modern IT technician has transcended the stereotype of someone sitting at a help desk wearing a pocket protector. This new breed of IT professional is responsible for implementing new technologies and helping companies adapt in the ever-evolving 2.0 world," said Rick Moore, Online Senior System Administrator at Bryant & Stratton College Online. "Especially as many companies begin to embrace these updated technologies, IT professionals must demonstrate they have a command of these new skill sets."

Moore has more than 10 years of experience in the information technology field and will lead the clinic. Prior to becoming Senior System Administrator at Bryant & Stratton College Online, Moore held positions at Lockheed Martin, Abraxis BioScience and AT Technology.

Bryant & Stratton College students and graduates, information technology professionals and prospective students interested in attending the online tune-up clinic are invited to submit questions before the webinar for possible use during the question-and-answer session.
