NEW YORK, NY, May 22, 2011

Since opening 16 months ago, Marquis Residences, Miami's majestic 67-story residential tower, has drawn inspiration and energy from its neighbors in the cultural community. It is only fitting that Marquis would want to give back to a community that has given much to so many others by sponsoring a group of visionary artists.
Marquis Residences recently hosted artists with the Metamoto Dance Forum at the New World Symphony throughout the duration of their visit.
Marquis Residences, located just steps from the preeminent Adrienne Arsht Center for Performing Arts; Museum Park; Miami Art Museum; Gusman Center for Performing Arts; and American Airlines Arena, home of the Miami Heat is at the crossroads of culture in Miami. With this recent visit, Marquis became the cradle of culture as the Metamoto company resided in Tempo Miami, RockResorts' boutique hotel occupying the first 14 floors of the tower.
"We are thrilled to lend a hand to the world-class artists who live and work in this vibrant community," said Lori Ordover, managing member of The Ordover Group, a consultant to AFI USA, developer of the Marquis Residences. "In addition to being dedicated arts patrons, the Marquis Residences development team is proud that many acclaimed artists and athletes choose to call the Marquis Residences home."
Wendy Marks Pine, of Cervera Real Estate and sales director at Marquis Residences, said the arts are integral to the culture and way of life in Downtown Miami. "Residents and visitors to the Marquis Residences are within minutes of some of the finest visual and performing arts venues anywhere in the world," she said.
Metamoto - which fuses the words "meta" (beyond) and "con moto" (a tempo mark that indicates 'with motion') — is a first-of-its-kind musician-choreographer forum that pairs cutting-edge modern dance with experimental sounds and music. The performances featured the work of choreographers Letty Bassart and Yara Travieso, composers Daniel Bernard Roumain and Jerome Begin, and fellows of the New World Symphony.
"You have no idea what you have done for our team and company, and how your generous help has contributed immensely to the success of this performance," said choreographer Yara Travieso, thanking the development team at the Marquis Residences. "We could not have had better accommodations. On behalf of the whole creative team, I want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your time and efforts to help us attain such superb accommodations for the week."
Designed by internationally renowned architecture firm Arquitectonica, the Marquis Residences is Biscayne Boulevard's tallest residential tower, a magnificent glass structure that boasts two original works of art: Arquitectonica's "Biscayne Beacon," glowing at the top of the spire, and "Miami Rain," by Tom Patti, situated at the North and West facades.

Individual units feature high-end appliances, top-quality finishes, floor-to-ceiling windows and glass doors, state-of-the-art technology and sweeping views.
Marquis also offers top-tier luxury amenities.
