Effective immediately, Leehan, who brings more than 25 years of experience in the health and wellness industry, will report directly to SoloHealth's VP of Channel Development, Rick Voight.
In his new position, Leehan will oversee and manage relationships across national accounts to ensure SoloHealth's valued partners receive the best possible service and individualized attention from the SoloHealth team.
Leehan spent 18 years with Walmart, most within the Health and Wellness division, where he was an integral part of the development and expansion of Walmart Vision Centers, which has grown from 40 locations to over 2,500 vision centers, 3 regional processing labs, and one central distribution center.
During his time at Walmart, which culminated in his appointment as the Divisional Manager responsible for all vision centers and optometry relationships in the western half of the U.S., Leehan received numerous performance awards. These included, most notably, the Sam Walton Leadership Award, as well as Regional Manager of the Quarter twice, Regional Manager of The Year twice, VPI Merchant of The Month on twelve occasions, and VPI Merchant of The Year.
"Chic is an extremely valuable addition to the SoloHealth team. Not only does he have expertise in the areas of health and wellness and kiosk implementation, but his broad skill set is paired with strong leadership, integrity, and a customer-first mindset," says Bart Foster, CEO of SoloHealth. "We are extremely excited to welcome this A player to our talented team during this period of rapid growth and expansion at the company."
Leehan also has substantial work experience outside of the health and wellness profession, serving as Director of Client Services for Advanced Telemarketing Corporation. He also served as Vice President of Sales and Operations for The Greetings Express, a kiosk format entity supported with seasonal product sales operating in convenience stores. During his tenure, he increased the organization's locations by tenfold and opened two distribution centers.
About SoloHealth
Based in Atlanta, Ga., SoloHealth is the leader in self-service healthcare, utilizing technology to develop and deploy interactive health screening kiosks, as well as other platforms, in an effort to empower consumers about their health through awareness, education and action. The award-winning company's first offering was the EyeSite Vision kiosk, currently located in retail outlets in nine metro markets. In summer 2010, the company received a $1.2 M grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), a division of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, to help enable innovation for self-service healthcare and prevention. In 2011, SoloHealth announced its next-generation kiosk, the SoloHealth Station, offering vision, blood pressure, weight, and body mass index; receive an overall health assessment; and access a database of local doctors. The company's bilingual kiosks provide free health screenings and recommendations for follow-up care, which leads to prevention and lower health care costs.
