Partial investigations also showed that the incident is possibly caused by a professional scammer who was targeting BookWhirl.com's former and current authors.
The Marketing Director, Don Harold, said the extracted information of authors, names, and e-mail address means scammers are highly skilled with their craft and the public should be vigilant and do extra pre-cautions for their account security. Harold also added that the scam message contains a list of bad publicities against the company that has remained as false allegations.
