ANGWIN, CA, May 29, 2011 (Press-News.org) Lila is no stranger to the military life. For the past twenty-some years she has traveled with her husband, Lieutenant Colonel, David Cervantes, and their two children throughout the world; both serving passionately with the gift that God has graced them with, David in the medical field and Lila in the entertainment industry.

When Lila Cervantes opens her mouth to sing, there is no question that you are indeed in the presence of one who has been given an enormous talent. "God Bless America" flows effortlessly and passionately from her heart as she sings with conviction; encouraging the troops at many of our army bases.

Audiences from around the world can testify that Lila sings from a very deep place in her soul and it penetrates into the heart of the listener. She would tell you that God has given her a voice which allows her to express what she feels and believes... and she convinces us... because all that passion that God has graced her with, comes barreling into our own hearts and we feel like she is giving voice to our emotions.

On Memorial Day the flag is raised to the top of the staff and then solemnly lowered to the half-staff position, where it remains only until noon. It is then raised to full-staff for the remainder of the day, as a time-honored tradition to remember the millions of men and women who gave their lives in service of their country.
