The groundbreaking success paved the way for HRS to take on a more profound role within the society by launching More with Less; a new principle which aims to inspire people to look within them for change, even if they are short on resources.More with Less revolves around change and progress without any need to suffer slash budgets, by adapting to the resources and thinking outside the box. HRS is working spreading this encouraging concept furthermore within the Kingdom.
Founder of HRS, Maher Kaddoura says that the simple concept was sparked by HRS ability to use "what we have" to actually finding "what we need", noting that they were able to provide children with football fields at a very affordable cost after utilizing the spaces of school playgrounds to the max."
"It was an eye opener; we have been able to use what might seem as limited resources into what these children needed to stay safe, thus reaching out for present potentials," he added.
In addition, Kaddoura noted that each school, with a capacity of around 400 students, cost 200 JOD for a football field; "only ½ JOD per child was enough to create a safe haven."
"Just think of how ½ JOD, a very humble cost, changed the child and his family's life; it enabled this child to play safely, stay away from street dangers and malevolence. As he plays safely, it further promotes high morale and competition which will reinforce children determination and will for years to come," he said.
Kaddoura notes that if individuals and groups started to think positively of their resources, whatever the life they lead, they would be able to come up with great outcomes for the best of society.
"More than ever, we have to listen and understand people's needs. The biggest challenge is to engage the vast numbers of people who won't stand up to be counted and use their voice. It's a massive and complex task," he explained, adding that once individuals and groups adapt to More with Less they will achieve more, hopefully towards creating the best society.
Kaddoura called on people to embrace the principle, "Let's make it a national campaign, each one of us can come up with an executable idea or project within More with Less, then we will think together and start implementing."
HRS fields enabled children to burn energy, have fun and express themselves away from dangers of road and traffic accidents, and most importantly, to find a simple affordable creative solution for a strong rooted problem.
