PORTLAND, OR, June 05, 2011 (Press-News.org) EasyCEU.com, one of the nation's top providers of online continuing education courses for senior care professionals, announced a new Certification program offered as the result of the recent acquisition of Provider Management Education Services' course catalogue, also known as CEUsite.com.
The Assisted Living Administrator Certification course is key for professionals who want to work in leadership roles in the assisted living industry. Many states require this Certification to work as an Assisted Living Administrator. In states where no Certification is required, this program has proven very popular with individuals with management skills wishing to transfer those skills to one of the fastest growing segments of the economy.
Currently this online course is approved for training Assisted Living Administrators throughout the U. S., including specific approvals in the states of Arkansas, Georgia, Idaho, Iowa, New Mexico, Nebraska, Nevada, N. Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon and Washington . Approvals in a number of other states are pending and anticipated in the coming months.
This training course is also available to current Administrators, including Nursing Home Administrators who may wish to transfer their skills to an Assisted Living environment, as National Association of Boards of Long Term Care Administrator Boards (NAB)-approved continuing education. This program can be taken as CEUs either in whole or in segments, based on the NAB domains of practice.
Online training for professional certification has seen a tremendous growth in the past few years as technological advances provide ready access to high-quality training content, delivered at a place and time most convenient for the learner. Online or e-learning is especially useful in rural communities where access to training programs may be more limited or costly.
The Assisted Living Administrator Certification Program is just one of the new Certificate programs provided by EasyCEU.com. Other programs include Nursing in Assisted Living, Nursing Facility Administrator in Training and Nursing Facility Director of Nursing Certification courses. These courses are all vital to providers who are focused on quality care programs; they're also essential to individuals wishing to transfer existing skills to the senior care industry, or those on a career ladder to leadership in senior care.
"Adding these courses allows our clients, many of whom have returned every license renewal period since we launched in early 2003, to access a wide range of new courses," noted Sharon Brothers, President and CEO of the company. "We have also expanded our Certification programs tremendously with this acquisition." Brothers notes that Certification programs are a key component of the overall online course offerings provided by the company, which serves licensed Nursing Home Administrators, Assisted Living Administrators, Social Workers, Family Therapists, Nurses and more.
