BARCELONA, SPAIN, June 09, 2011 (Press-News.org) The photojournalism of Josep Branguli will be on show at the Centre de Cultura Contemporania de Barcelona (CCCB) from June 8th.
Widely respected for the images he captured throughout his career, the photographer took pictures of all sorts of subjects, ranging from political life to the everyday activities of the common man.
The exhibition, on show until October 23rd 2011, focuses on his work in Barcelona between 1909 and 1945.
It includes about 300 pictures and offers a fascinating snapshot of what life was like during that period.
In a statement, the organisers noted: "The exhibition, curated by the photographers Valentin Vallhonrat and Rafael Levenfeld, follows the thematic structure of the Josep Branguli archive and reflects the diversity and the thematic approach of the photographer's work."
The CCCB is open from 11:00 to 20:00 local time from Tuesday to Sunday, with a later closing time of 22:00 on Thursday.
If people visit the arts space before July 18th, they could also check out The Trieste of Magris, which explores the work of Claudio Magris in relation to the Italian town.
