ST. LOUIS PARK, MN, June 10, 2011 (Press-News.org) The French Academy of Minnesota and MacPhail Center for Music announced today a partnership to enhance music education for students of The French Academy. In addition to standard music instruction in the classroom, a MacPhail instructor will work directly with each class to build students' musical literacy.
"We take great pride in providing the best education and language immersion instruction to our students," said Veronique Liebmann, founder and director of The French Academy. "Music is a language in itself and we are so happy to have MacPhail, the education and music experts, joining us!"
Nora Paoli will be working with the students. Paoli is an early childhood music teacher and community partnership educator at MacPhail. She has been in music education for the last 10 years, with experience teaching preschool and school age students. Music classes will consist of students learning to work with instruments, vocalizations, drum beat patterns, dance methods and more.
