PHOENIX, AZ, June 12, 2011 (Press-News.org) Graduates from CollegeAmerica will don caps and gowns Saturday, June 18, to receive their college diplomas. The graduates join the thousands of alumni who have received career training from CollegeAmerica through degree programs in healthcare and information technology.
The ceremony will begin with an address from the class valedictorian, Neomia Valenzuela. This year's graduating class has 115 students.
Among the outstanding graduates is Jessica Hewitt. Hewitt's father passed away when she was half-way through her degree program, leaving her to run the family's business. Hewitt managed to continue her classes while keeping the business afloat. She is receiving her degree in computer technology and networking. Her advice for prospective students is to never give up and to always find a way to keep earning your degree a priority.
"We are immensely proud of Jessica and all of our graduates. Many, like Jessica, have had to overcome personal challenges or obstacles, such as balancing school with family or work. We offer as much support as possible to our students to help keep them committed to earning their degree and taking one step closer to a better career," said Marty Jiunta, campus director at CollegeAmerica, Phoenix.
