The 2011 NICB Cargo Theft Conference to be held in Charleston, SC, August 17-18.

CHARLESTON, SC, June 12, 2011

The National Insurance Crime Bureau has announced that it will hold its 2011 Cargo Theft Conference at the College Center in the Complex for Economic Development at Trident Technical College in North Charleston, South Carolina. The conference will be held Wednesday August 17 and Thursday August 18, 2011.
The National Insurance Crime Bureau invites Law Enforcement Officers, Insurance Personnel and Representatives from the Cargo Transportation and Shipping Industry for this day and a half conference. During the conference you will see presentations from cargo security experts, receive training on preventing cargo theft, view demonstrations from cargo security solution providers, and network with law enforcement, suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, transportation/logistics personnel and insurance representatives.

Presentation Agenda will include:

•Cargo Theft Trends: Local and Nationwide Statistics
•Technology, Techniques and Tools used in the Trucking Industry for Theft and by the Cargo

The NICB was formed in 1992 from a merger between the National Automobile Theft Bureau (NATB) and the Insurance Crime Prevention Institute (ICPI), both of which were not-for-profit organizations.
