HARROGATE, ENGLAND, September 17, 2010 (Press-News.org) Mike Bower, the founder of Link Telecom - which he sold in 2004 - has joined the board of the privately-owned firm, which specialises in digital signage and IPTV solutions, as Commercial Director.
Mr Bower has an enviable industry-wide reputation. Over the last two decades he has set up a number of businesses within the telecoms and digital arena, as well being brought in by existing companies to offer strategic advice and commercial guidance.
Digital Media Projects CEO Nicholas Fearnley said: "Mike is a major name in the UK telecoms industry and his appointment is pivotal to our future aims and aspirations.
"Mike brings a wealth of experience with him and his focus will be on developing the business right across Europe and further into America.
"This will allow the technical team - which includes me - to concentrate our efforts on developing our unique products further and introducing new innovations to the Digital Media Projects stable."
Mike Bower said: "I'm joining Digital Media Projects at a very exciting time. If DMP was a public listed company, people would be queuing up to buy shares in it.
"It has some huge clients; Manchester City Football Club, BBC, ITV and BT to name but a few. This will be very much a hands-on role for me, and I'm looking forward to helping Nicholas and the team in developing the business further."
Digital Media Products has offices in Leeds and Holland, with a new Sales & Marketing suite just opened at the prestigious Cardale Park, in Harrogate. A New York office is planned for later this year to support the growing North American client base.
Other customers include KPMG, UK and European electrical retail chains, the United States Air Force, conference venues, universities, the NHS and investment banks.
