About Sherry Lee Denton
Mrs. Denton serves as President of NAPO-GA for the 2010-2011 term. The National Association of Professional Organizers, Georgia Chapter (NAPO-GA) is a nonprofit organization representing the Georgia region's experts in organizing solutions for individuals and businesses. Sherry has utilized her organizational skills and talents in over 30 years of various work experiences. Sherry holds a Master's Degree in Counselor Education and a Bachelor's Degree in Speech Pathology with a minor in Psychology from Western Illinois University, Macomb, Illinois.
Her consultative work is based upon principles learned while serving in the education field, counseling, and financial services industry as well as leadership roles in the community. Sherry has always been the "go to" person whether she was working as an administrative assistant for certified financial planners or personnel recruiters, as a business development specialist for a large insurance company, as a marketing associate for a large real estate corporation specializing in real estate limited partnerships, as a speech therapist or as a counselor in public schools. Each position required her to maintain a high degree of organization in her methods and techniques of performing her responsibilities as well as in record keeping and scheduling. She added to the productivity of her employers and increased revenue in each position she held in the business world. Keeping the work space free of clutter, putting systems in place for processing paperwork, communications, customer service, attending to the space design and proper furnishings came as second nature to her.
Sherry has given presentations on the principles of organization to the IAAP at Georgia Pacific in Atlanta, workshops during "GO - Get Organized - WEEK" at IKEA in Atlanta, addressed the HOPEWELL Entrepreneurs, and local chapters of various civic, church, business, and networking groups
