SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA, June 22, 2011 (Press-News.org) A theatrical adaptation of the movie Kisaragi is being staged until August 7th 2011 at the Culture Space NU.
Despite being frequently very funny, the show is a murder mystery that explores the feelings of a group of men who are obsessed with the victim and meet because they are all in her fan club.
It is based on the 2007 film of the same name, which was directed by Yuichi Sato and won the Blue Ribbon accolade, as well as receiving three nominations at the Awards of the Japanese Academy.
The central female character is Kisaragi Miki, a C-list model who was believed to have committed suicide, but as the group share their thoughts on the death they begin to wonder what actually happened to her.
According to the organisers, one of the highlights is the 'Kisaragi dance', which they describe as "uproarious".
The performance is about 105 minutes long and is suitable for people 12 years old and above. The Culture Space NU is located close to Marronnier Park and the Arko Arts Theatre.
AsiaRooms.com offers a huge variety of Seoul hotels that may appeal to theatre-goers, such as the IP Boutique Hotel Itaewon.
