The HDCAT-BD CAT5e/6 Extender enables transmission of HDMI, Infrared IR and Toslink Digital Audio over pair of CAT-5 / 6 cables. The HDCAT-BD Extender can transport 1080P HD 120ft over pair of CAT 6 cable.
HDCAT-BD incorporates Bi-Directional signaling allowing Infrared IR and Toslink Digital Audio to be transported in forward OR reverse direction thus allowing total flexibility. For example, Infrared can be sent from the HDTV end to video sources or vice versa. The bi-directional Toslink when operated in reverse mode (from HDTV to AV receiver) allow users to extend the optical audio output from the HDTV to Audio Receiver system over CAT 5/6 cable.
The HDCAT-BD is a simple solution to distribute, HD video, audio and IR controls. Ethernet cables and connectors are easily field terminated thus allowing installers to easily install the proper length cable on site. HDCAT-BD utilizes Active Drive and Compensation circuitry ensures error free video transmission for the ultimate HD experience.
