CCS Corporation Puts the Environment First in Energy Digital
2011-06-24
SAN DIEGO, CA, June 24, 2011 (Press-News.org) Energy Digital takes a look at CCS Corporation. CEO John Gibson sees a bright future ahead for CCS. The company has already experienced immense growth in the last decade, even through its financial restructuring. "In 2002, company revenues were about $120 million, with $47 million in earnings," says Gibson. "Today, as a privately held company we did $100 million in earnings in the first quarter of 2011 alone. That gives an idea of just how much the company is growing.

"The market itself has improved over the last 10 years. 2001 was not a great year for oil and gas, so from then through the economic downturn of 2009 was a hard time. 2009 was a time that saw great uncertainty in the company, and they sought new leadership. That's when I came in.

"You're looking at a $2 trillion investment in the oil sands from now until 2035, and we're a significant player in that sector. We provide infrastructure to help our customers meet the environmental regulations. We are here to help them reduce their liability, and to improve their reputations and maintain them with both the community and the government. We think the regulatory environment is going to get tougher over the next decade. You're going to see more stringent requirements and we are building solutions to help our customers meet those requirements."
