SEVILLE, SPAIN, June 24, 2011 (Press-News.org) The seventh edition of Nocturama is to be held at Seville's Centro Andaluz de Arte Contemporaneo (CAAC) this summer.
From June 30th to September 1st there is a packed programme of musical entertainment scheduled every Wednesday and Thursday.
The 2011 theme involves looking at music and songs as a form of social transformation.
Kicking off proceedings on the first day of the festival will be Basia Bulat, a Canadian folk singer who often performs with an autoharp.
Binary Audio Misfits, Pelle Carlberg, Lonely Drifter Karen and Nudozurdo are among the bands who will play throughout the summer before the season of gigs is wrapped up by Maga, a Spanish three-piece playing indie rock music.
In a statement, the organisers remarked: "The singular backdrop of the gardens of the Monastery of La Cartuja and the added bonus of being able to visit the museum's contemporary art exhibitions at night make this concert series a unique experience unlike any other musical event."
The concerts start at 22:00 local time and cost EUR5 (GBP4.45) to attend.
Music fanatics can find a wide range of accommodation in Seville on LateRooms.com, such as the Hotel Don Paco Seville.
