New Era Labels Purchases ROTOCONTROL RSC Slitter Rewinder Inspection Machine

Installation and training completed in one day

2010-09-18
AHRENSBURG, GERMANY, September 18, 2010 (Press-News.org) Ralph Beier, ROTOCONTROL International Sales Manager, today announced the successful installation of another RSC Slitter Rewinder Inspection Machine in South Africa. The installation and operator training was completed on the same day at New Era Labels, a subsidiary of Golden Era Group, representing the second largest printing and packaging company in the country.

With the need to run unsupported film as well as standard label material, New Era Labels was particularly impressed with the standard cartridge slitting system allowing them to quickly change jobs using either Razor or Shear Knife cartridges. Included in the machine is a fully integrated Helios II system from AVT providing 100% vision inspection.

The order was placed through the Director of ROTOTEC Patrick Aengenvoort, the local distributor in South Africa for ROTOCONTROL. Patrick is responsible for the Johannesburg region and has provided New Era Labels support and service for their existing Slitter Rewinder installation and precision engraving and die sinking requirements, also available through ROTOTEC.

Mr. Raj Chhita, Operations Director with Golden Era Group commented: "Our decision to invest in the RSC Slitter Rewinder Inspection Machine technology was based on the flexibility it provides with our varied production requirements, and the added benefit of 100% vision inspection. Having access to local technical and sales support from ROTOTEC, was also a key factor in our decision to select ROTOCONTROL."
