2010-09-18
DENVER, CO, September 18, 2010 (Press-News.org) SolSource is dedicated to making solar more accessible to property owners across Colorado and the rest of the U.S. As such, the company will have three homes featured on the Denver Area Solar and Green Homes Tour, showing the best of solar systems across the Denver-metro area. SolSource's founder and president, Jeff Scott, will lead portions of the Denver Area Commercial Building Solar Tour, highlighting how businesses can also benefit from solar installations.

SolSource is a solar engineering, procurement and construction company. The Solar and Green Homes Tour, hosted by the Colorado Renewable Energy Society (CRES), is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 25, 2010. The Commercial Building Solar Tour, also hosted by CRES, is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 17, 2010.

"The Solar and Green Homes Tour and the Commercial Building Solar Tour are the perfect opportunities to show homeowners and business owners alike what today's solar looks like - more streamlined, more efficient and more affordable. With new financing options, people can have a custom solar energy system installed with minimal money out of pocket," said Jeff Scott, president and founder of SolSource. "There is a lot of misinformation out there about the true cost of solar. Participating in the Solar Tours allows us to debunk some of the myths and show people how easy it is to have solar installed on their home or business."

The benefits of solar include an immediate savings on monthly energy bills, protection from rising utility rates, increased property values, and of course, a reduction in carbon footprints.

SolSource is at the forefront of the solar energy industry contributing to both the residential and commercial tours. The Denver Tour is $5 with the option for a guided bus tour for $45. The Commercial Tour is $35. Attendees can buy tickets at the CRES website at http://www.cres-energy.org.

CRES has hosted solar tours since 1996, highlighting the latest and greatest in energy efficiency, renewable energy, and sustainable green-building practices throughout the Denver-metro area. The Denver Tour is part of the American Solar Energy Society's National Solar Tour, held on or around the first weekend of every October, and attracting thousands of visitors nationwide.
