CHICAGO, IL, July 06, 2011 (Press-News.org) Tandem Construction, Inc., an award-winning, full-service construction firm based in Chicago, IL, recently completed renovations on a 90,000 square foot cheese factory for Alouette Cheese USA. The factory is located in Lena, IL, about an hour west of Rockford, IL. The renovations were made to modernize the existing facility.
"The factory now has new concrete floors with tile and epoxy finishes, stainless steel floor drains, and a brand new 925 square foot addition; everything a food processing facility needs," said Ira Leibold, Tandem Inc.'s Project Manager for the site.
The renovated portion of the facility will house part of the plant's assembly line, which will be partially automated. The renovations to the Lena factory will make it one of the leading production facilities out of Alouette's 120 factories worldwide.
