In this role, Steve is responsible for leading Turner's growth, managing project execution and developing staff in these markets. Steve is based in Dallas.

Turner Construction Company's Texas operations have grown more than 16 percent over the last two years, driven in large part by opportunities in the commercial and healthcare sectors. "Steve is a strong leader with a rare combination of skill, vision and deep industry relationships that have helped drive the success of Turner's projects during his 20-year tenure with the company," said Matt Papenfus, senior vice president of Turner Construction Company's Texas region. "Given the success Steve has demonstrated in the healthcare segment and the relationships he has built with key players throughout North Texas and the surrounding states, we are confident he will continue to facilitate growth in Turner's commercial construction market."

As the great, great grandson of Henry C. Turner, the founder of Turner Construction Company, Steve has been with Turner for the majority of his 27 years in the construction industry, and has worked his way up through a variety of management positions. A recognized professional, he has earned designations as Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC) by the American Hospital Association (AHA), and Certified Professional Constructor (CPC) from the American Institute of Constructors. "I am very pleased to be leading Turner's efforts to bring our experience and expertise in the Texas market and across the country to benefit our clients around the region," says Whitcraft. "We have learned a lot through our history of leading the industry in construction innovation and I am proud of our success in implementing integrated BIM, prefabrication and LEAN construction initiatives on new projects here in Texas."

A Dallas native, Whitcraft earned a Master of Architecture (MArch) degree from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor and serves on the Executive Committee for Preservation Dallas.
