New Jersey Company Updates Nation's Gold Standard Database for Corporate Giving

2011-07-29
MEDFORD, NJ, July 29, 2011 (Press-News.org) Micro Integration Services (MIS) (misdb.com) has completed its sixth year of supporting and updating the database for the 32nd Edition of the Corporate Giving Directory.

Published by Info Today, the Corporate Giving Directory is a reference book that features complete profiles of the 1,000 largest corporate foundations and corporate direct giving programs in the United States — funding sources that represent nearly $6 billion in cash and nonmonetary support annually. It is a reference standard that nonprofits use to better understand how they can attract corporate giving and sponsorships throughout the United States.

"We are very proud of our continued role in processing raw data from suppliers into the database for the Corporate Giving Directory," says MIS President Glenn Smith. "This data is essential to helping many very important nonprofit organizations gain a crucial edge as corporate philanthropy budgets tighten."

MIS has had a long history of supporting Info Today, including the creation and maintenance of many systems the company uses to support its products. These products include the publications Literary Marketplace, American Library Directory and Grant Support.

MIS is a software and computer consulting company that has been solving business technological problems since 1985. The focus of its work centers on integration of smartphones and databases.

MIS creates smartphone applications such as surveys. "We transmit survey results to a backend database where results are reported via web pages, using both physical counts and rich 3D graphics," Smith says.

MIS also creates mobile applications for field representatives. The company collects data and signatures on iPads, which transmit them to a backend database for process control and reporting. This solution cuts down tremendously on paperwork and speeds up work flow.
