The Landmark London Hotel Introduces A Night at The Opera Gala Dinner

The Landmark London Hotel introduces an exciting and sophisticated evening of opera in the Winter Garden Restaurant. The Night at the Opera Gala Dinner experience will delight London's connoisseurs of opera and fine dining.

2011-08-25
PARIS, FRANCE, August 25, 2011 (Press-News.org) On Thursday 3rd November 2011, the luxurious Landmark London's Winter Garden will be the elegant setting for an evening of musical entertainment and fine dining with an exclusive Night at the Opera Gala Dinner.

Opera lovers will enjoy a specially created menu comprising six-course dinner with matching wines, interspersed by segments of opera. Musical offerings will be performed by a collective of singers from esteemed classical music performance company, Opera Bespoke. This special evening marks the first in a series of seasonal opera gala dinners planned for 2012.

Upon arrival guests will take to their seats in the stunning surrounds of the five star hotel's Winter Garden with its soaring eight-storey glass-roof atrium - a fitting location for a sophisticated evening - to enjoy a glass of chilled Champagne and an amuse-bouche. Following a sumptuous starter accompanied by an expertly match glass of wine the first musical interlude will begin: commencing with excerpts of early opera from Handel and Mozart, guests will traverse the ages of opera with music by Verdi, Puccini, Rossini and Strauss in three 20 minute sessions of popular arias.

The professional singers - a soprano, mezzo soprano and a tenor who have performed with the country's top opera houses and orchestras - will sing in costume accompanied by a pianist, while between each operatic segment another delectable course will be served from a special menu created by Martin Geschwindt Winter Garden's Head Chef in collaboration with the Executive Chef Gary Klaner to compliment the magical evening.

To complete the experience, The Landmark London encourages guests attending its Night at the Opera Gala Dinner to stay in one of its elegant guestrooms or, for the ultimate indulgence, they can opt to stay in one of The Landmark London's newly completed luxury suites.

The Night at the Opera Gala Dinner will commence at 7pm on Thursday 3rd November 2011 and costs GBP150 per person including three 20 minute operatic interludes, six-course dinner and an accompanying glass of wine per course. Dress: smart attire
