PUYALLUP, WA, September 01, 2011 (Press-News.org) The National Adoption Weekend is proudly sponsored by PetSmart, Purina Pro Plan and Purina Tidy Cats. The goal of this event is to help find thousands of pets a lifelong, loving home.
The event is part of PetSmart Charities' National Adoption Weekend. In the 20 years that PetSmart has been hosting such events; over 4.5 million pets have been adopted.
"It is part of PetSmart's mission to serve as an avenue for rescue agencies to place dogs and cats in loving homes," says Puyallup store manager Steve Hollis.
During the event, PetSmart expects to place 40 to 50 pets, all of which come from rescue agencies throughout the area, including Puyallup Animal Rescue. There is a fee to adopt the pets ranging from $80 to $200, depending on the pet. Most of the pets have up-to-date shots and have been spayed or neutered. In addition, on Saturday, September 10, Banfield Veterinary Services will be available to answer your pet questions.
Pet Adoption Hours are Friday, September 9, 12 pm - 4 pm, Saturday, September 10, 9 am - 4 pm, and Sunday,
September 11, 10 am - 4 pm.
