Sea Hawk's Biocop TF Antifouling Paint Now Available in Australia

2011-09-02
CLEARWATER, FL, September 02, 2011 (Press-News.org) New Nautical Coatings, the 33 year-old Clearwater, Florida-based innovators of Sea Hawk antifouling paints, has just been awarded finalization from the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) to register Biocop TF antifouling paint in Australia. The APVMA is an Australian government statutory authority established in 1993 to centralize the registration of all agricultural and veterinary chemical products into the Australian marketplace.

Biocop TF was developed by Sea Hawk Paints as an alternative to tin-based antifouling paints to protect against the harshest marine environments and provide maximum protection. A new dual biocide technology and revolutionary polymer binder system, "PL3" produces an engineered biocide that leaves no harmful effects on the environment. Biocop TF is considered the top performer among antifouling paints and is safe in salt or fresh water on boats of all sizes.

Walid Aboultaif of Sea Hawk Paints Oceania has been appointed the first Australian Sea Hawk Paints Distributor. "We are proud to be the distributor in this region and delighted to finally have Biocop TF registered here," he said. Many of the yards in Australia are already familiar with Biocop TF, since some of the vessels that were painted in the US have arrived in Australia.

"Our customers have been asking that we make Sea Hawk available in Australia for years," reported Erik Norrie, president and CEO of New Nautical Coatings. "We have already begun submitting registration applications to distribute more of our paints in Australia," he said. "Sea Hawk Biocop TF is officially and literally 'down under' in Australia."

New Zealand is also a target area for Sea Hawk Paints. Applications are being submitted now so that Sea Hawk Paints will be available in both Australia and New Zealand. The company is scheduled to begin shipping Biocop TF to Australia before the end of 2011.

A trendsetter of nautical bottom paints, New Nautical Coatings, Inc. was established in 1978 and is dedicated to bringing only the highest quality and customer satisfaction to today's mariner.
