Ooh La La Dessert Boutique Announces New Bakery Commissary

New Bakery Serves Original Location and Future Locations in Houston

KATY, TX, September 22, 2010 (Press-News.org) Three years ago, Ooh La La Dessert Boutique launched its first store in Katy on Westheimer Parkway. Now the city's sweetest little bakery, known for it's signature cupcakes, cheesecakes, pies and more, is ready to swing open its second set of doors for business. On September 20, 2010 owner and pastry chef Vanessa O'Donnell will proudly unveil her sparkling new 3,200 square-foot location at 20155 Park Row to the public. Located between North Fry Road and Westgreen Boulevard, the new bakery will serve as a baking hub for both Katy stores as well as future venues.

"We could not be more pleased and thankful for the support we've gotten from our customers," says O'Donnell, a native Texan and graduate of the Art Institute of Houston's Baking and Pastry Program. "Now with the much-needed expanded kitchen, we will have the ability to bake all of our desserts at our new location." O'Donnell will have desserts delivered to their respective venues for finishing. The Fry Road location will also serve as baking headquarters for desserts that will be delivered to corporate accounts and restaurants.

And if two locations were not enough - Ooh La La customers still want more—the demand for a Houston-centric location is mounting. With high hopes for what's to come, O'Donnell is currently scouting space for her third venue, this time in Houston. "The commissary was a step we had to take in order to continue to grow," she explains.

Ooh La La prides itself in made-from-scratch desserts prepared with premium ingredients, including signature award-winning cupcakes, extraordinary cheesecakes, cookies, pies and more.

O'Donnell, a Houston native, is a graduate of the Art Institute of Houston's Baking and Pastry program, and worked at the Houston Country Club prior to opening Ooh La La.

Ooh La La's new location at 20155 Park Row is open Monday-Saturday, 8 am to 6 pm, while the original location at 23920 Westheimer Parkway is open Monday-Thursday, 8 AM to 9 PM and Friday-Saturday, 8 AM to 10 PM. The bakeries are closed on Sundays.
