EVERGREEN, CO, October 22, 2011 (Press-News.org) FrontDoorSoftware Corporation brought home the top prize at the recent VatorSplash competition for entrepreneurs in San Francisco. FrontDoorSoftware wowed the judges with its impressive business plan and opportunity for growth and impact to beat out more than 170 other entrants for the competition's top prize.
"We are so honored to win such a prestigious competition like VatorSplash," said Carrie Hafeman, president of FrontDoorSoftware Corporation. "We felt so lucky to have heard our name called and we are really excited about the potential outcome from winning this award. The increased interest in our company has already been overwhelming."
The competition was judged based on three categories: novelty / innovation, market potential and team. All of the entrants supplied detailed business information about their team, business model, competitive advantage and other information to help the judges make an evaluation. Then each of the top 10 finalists gave a three-minute long presentation to the judges and a room of more than 400 people.
Judges and speakers included some of Silicon Valley's finest. Representatives from Blumberg Capital, Google Ventures, Javelin Venture Partners, AOL Ventures, King & Spalding, Scale Venture Partners, EchoVC Partners, Illuminate Ventures, and Redpoint Ventures were just some of the more than a dozen VC panelists and speakers at the event.
"Without the help of Efrat Kasznik and our partners at Foresight Valuation, whose consultation and assistance with preparing for this competition was instrumental, we certainly wouldn't have accomplished what we did," said Hafeman. "We're very grateful for their effort in helping us and we're glad to share the honor of winning this competition with them." Foresight Valuation Group, based in Silicon Valley, provides high-level, customized valuation and strategy services to start-ups and investors as well as to corporate giants.
