SURREY, BC, November 03, 2011 (Press-News.org) Reconnaissance reverse circulation drilling on the Central Zone of the Don Luis Silver-Gold-Tungsten Greisen-Porphyry Property was not completed this week as expected, mainly because the silica (quartz) cap in this zone is very hard and drilling is very slow. The water well completed in the East Zone is shown in the left picture. The rancher owning this land is very pleased! Also in this picture is Martin Rosando, a Junior Geologist that has recently been hired.
Our new website is progressing. A modern, new replacement of our present site will be welcome.
Permission has been received from the rancher for access to La Colorada - Esmeralda Grid. The rancher also will provide a bulldozer to build access roads and shallow trenches. These trenches will be sampled and will serve as access roads for the reverse circulation drill. Three main belts of anomalous gold values were identified by soil sampling, as presented in Rome's NEWS RELEASE #08, November 23rd 2009. The gold anomalies are reproduced in the central picture, below (or on the website). The potential of the area is emphasized by abundant, abandoned gold mines and workings; some of the old prospect pits are shown in the right picture (or on the website).
Next week mapping in the area of the Esmeralda Gold Mine and the La Patria Gold Mine (central picture, or on website) will aid optimization of trenching and drilling. Bulldozer work will begin.
Work on Rome's exciting 10 km gold anomaly on the La Colorada-LCL5 Grid cannot be started until February 2012. This is because the ranchers holding the surface rights run a hunting season for mule deer and white-tailed deer from December until February.
