LAKE DISTRICT, ENGLAND, November 23, 2011 (Press-News.org) Halloween may have passed for another year but there are still potential frights to be had for those in Cumbria next month, with The Exorcism being shown at the Theatre by the Lake.
Based on a 1972 ghost story written by Don Taylor, this rendition is presented by the Keswick Theatre Club and is only suitable for those aged over 16.
The performance sees two couples meeting up in a remote country cottage to enjoy some festive cheer, but their presence causes a series of bizarre and spooky events to occur.
Known for its chilling climax, the play also looks to explore the corruptive nature of power and wealth.
The performance will run from Wednesday December 7th to Saturday December 10th, with tickets costing GBP9 each for individuals of all ages.
People hoping to enjoy the show will need to arrive for 19:30 GMT at the theatre's newly extended studio space, which seats 92 people.
